So I've split my DJGPP installation into two parts, one that has all the major stuff (cc1, etc) on the main HD (C:) and the rest on the ZIP (D:). Now the only problem is that CWSDPMI no longer gets automagically loaded if DPMI is not available. CWSDPMI is in the path and in the bin/ directory of both disks yet I still get a "Load Error: DPMI unavailable". Any hints? Also on an unrelated problem, djtar seem too choke on big directory lists. For example I have a few .tgz archives from a CTAN site that have a directory structure like this "/pub/tex/CTAN/macros/latex/contrib/supported/custm-bib/" that djtar refuses to decompress. It just says unable to create (above long directory list) enter new name. No matter what I enter as a new name the error keeps happening. Again, any hints? Your help much appreciated Dan Dan Everton "Have you tried thinking like a shower?" evos AT m140 DOT aone DOT net DOT au -- KBHR's Chris in the Morning http://www.home.aone.net.au/evos/dan.htm
