The function set_gfx_mode (or whatever it was that sets the video mode) doesn't return zero when I try to set a resolution of 320x240 with either GFX_VESA2B or GFX_VESA2L. : A couple of things spring to mind that it would be worth trying. Does : UniVBE support your card? I know it shouldn't be neccessary, but it SDD/UniVBE does not work because it currently does not support the Rendition chip. : would be worth trying it to see if you get the same results. Also, could : you try running the VBETEST program that SciTech distribute along with VBETEST ran with no problems. This is what VBETEST reported: OEM String: Rendition Verite 1000 Version: VBE 2.0 with 4096 Kb memory I tried to Interactive tests and video modes 320x240x8-bit Banked and Linear worked perfectly fine. : If that doesn't shed any light on the problem, I'll knock out some test : programs for you to try.
