Why db-1.85 and not any other hashing algorithm like gdbm? Because I'd like to exchange hash tables between UNIX and PCs and according to the reference table in AnyFile.pm coming with perl-5, only Berkeley db is byte order independent. Any help welcome. -- ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stefan Eichenberger Phone : +41-1-363 70 11 Culmannstrasse 30 Fax : +41-1-363 70 11 CH - 8006 Zurich (prior notification required) Switzerland E-mail: eichi AT dial DOT eunet DOT ch -----------------------------------------------------------------------------
