I've tried the Makefile that you ppsted (except that I don't have `f-prot', so I replaced it with a call to `echo', but that hardly matters), and it worked as expected. "Error -1" usually means that Make couldn't find the executable. So, no offence, but: do you indeed have touch.exe in e:/bin? If so, what kind of drive is E:? Maybe it's one of those problems with networks (again)?
