People are getting more and more used to the idea that free software can 
actually be worthwhile (understatement of the year, though...); look how 
the shareware concept has boomed in the past 5 or 10 years, and the FSF's 
work on their much wider, multi-platform scale.

You can say that again... comp.sys.msdos.djgpp is infinitely more 
effective than any tech support line, and it's free as well.
