I have an assembly routine which might be considerably faster if I can use external variables, but I haven't been able to so far. Whenever I use them, I get stack faults. For example, say I have the following: unsigned char *map; I was using "_map" to refer to it from the assembly module, but it won't work. I don't want to post the rountine , as it's somewhat long, but I will if it is really needed. Can anyone help me out?
