DJGPP comes with an assembler called Gas.  There are on-line docs of Gas 
which unzip into the info subdirectory.  Note that Gas accepts the AT&T 
syntax of assembly, which is different from the MASM (aka Intel) syntax; 
see that FAQ for details.
