Reply-To: kagel AT dg1 DOT bloomberg DOT com From: Anthony Whipple Date: Tue, 08 Oct 1996 16:17:17 +0000 I'm having a couple of problems which I can't find in the FAQ: - My MAKE says 'missing separator' -or something- when processing the makefile. I guess this must be a common problem, but it's not mentioned in any FAQ/doc.. Or is it? Inserting ASCII-9's at places does the trick but is very inconvenient. This is the only solution. The defacto standard for make (UNIX make) requires a tab character (ASCII 9) preceeding each dependent command. Try another editor which handles tabs correctly like TED, EMACS, ... [SNIP] -- Art S.
