This happened on MS-DOS 6.22, MS-DOS 3.30, IBM PC-DOS 3.31 and WIn95/DOS 7. The floppy contained, in addition to the application, the following files: go32-v2.exe, cwsdpmi.exe (r3). The application was stored both in stubbed and un-stubbed forms. Bot running 'app.exe' alone and 'go32-v2.exe app' resulted in the same behavior. Thinking that it might be a problem of lack of XMS MM I have installed both himem.sys and emm386.exe adn booted anew. The problem was still there. Interesting thing is that it also happened when the system was booted clean from harddisk (DOS 7) and dissappeared when PATH contained djgpp/bin reference. What's more needed to run the application in addition to CWSDPMI.EXE????? --------------------------------------------------------------------------- You can't brush me under the carpet, you can't hide me under the stairs, The custodian of your private fears, your leading actor of yesteryear, Who as you crawled out of the alleys of obscurity, sentenced to rejection in the morass of anonymity.
