Reply-To: kagel AT dg1 DOT bloomberg DOT com Date: Tue, 10 Sep 1996 15:27:43 +1000 (EST) From: Diing-Seng Toh I just installed the new version of DJGPP v2. But I can not get it run. I have read the FAQ, and intalled the program as show in the FAQ. But when I run the go32- it give me an error message: "No DPMI found!" Does anyone has the same problem when installing djgpp the first time? I have a 486-dx50 with 8 meg ram. 100 megs of free disk space! and I am running emm386.exe with the setting as in the FAQ. DJGPP V2 requires a DPMI server present in memory or CWSDPMI, a free DPMI server available where you found DJGPP, available in the PATH. Download csdpmi3b.zip to get CWSDPMI. Also note that all Windows versions provide DPMI service to programs running under them even in a DOS box. Other, commercial, DPMI servers include 386MAX & QEMM. -- Art S.
