The 2.5.2 linker is busted, so you need to get a copy of an earlier linker.
YOu can grab a version that will work for POVRay 3.0 from our ftp site:

 ftp.scitechsoft.com: /devel/ld24.zip

I have been talking with DJ about this and I do hope it gets fixed for the
next release.
