I tried to use the standard distrib with djgpp... but I sometimes it
works, sometimes it don't... anyone know why?

It worked for patching GNU RCS 5.7 (with the patches by... the guy
whose name I can't remember now... Mike <somthing>, I think).

It didn't work for patching NetHack 3.2.0 -> 3.2.1 (some hunks did,
some didn't work).

Anyone has a running patch?

Anyone has any ideas?
