Somehow this file got corrupted: it contained a large part of the beginning, and a few pages of the end. I did not look into it any more. I'd think that perhaps the last pages are written by smartdrv (which I had loaded). I have 8 MB RAM, and smartdrv used 1 MB. It would be understandable if dtou failed to write the file, but since it gives no warning and *overwrites* the original with the corrupted file, I was in trouble. Alex. -- Grobbl. Noggl ARGH! ARGH!
