Yes, it is useful [...] This approach has some benefits: * It really helps. * Because the answers in the FAQ have been thought about more than the usual shoot-from-hip answer they are more often correct and usually more detailed. * Eli's answers do not fuel the [off-charter, mind you] discussion on these matters because noone ever follows up to the posts. This increases the signal/noise ratio. Morten PS: _Please_ someone ask why the FAQ isn't posted to the news group weekly! I have been burning with this answer for months: "The FAQ _is_ posted to the group weekly -- by Eli in small pieces", :-)
