If you want the bugs to be corrected faster than they currently are, you have an easy way of achieving this: get the DJGPP sources and correct the bugs that bother you the most. The great thing about DJGPP is that the source to everything is available for free, so you don't need to wait for the official distribution to be corrected. If and when you do correct some of the bugs, consider sending the bugfixes to the people who maintain DJGPP, or posting them here; this will ensure they are corrected for others as fast as possible (many people will just take the patches and patch their private copies of the libraries and utilities).
