I released *beta* version of patch and optionaly libraries. The patch
was designed for compiling to use Shift-JIS. And the libraries were
designed for handling multibyte character and wide character. Now the
libraries support "japanese" and "C" locale only.

You can get from djgpp/v2tk/ at simtelnet or mirrors.

  gccsjis.zip: patch for gcc 2.7.2
  mbfnc044.zip: multibyte functions (includes `setlocale', `mblen', ...)
  wfunc023.zip: wide character functions
