I asked the same question here a month ago. And got prompt replies, including
one from the dxe author. So I feel very obliged to help you out now.

You can find a dxe sample in djtst200.zip
I use the DXE system now, and I love it.

However, if you want to do dxe-unloading, you will need to
hack libc. This is not too difficult. If you grab the most recent
sources of libc it will be Ok.
(Although I had memory problems when compiling libc, the rmake
 crashed after every 100 files or something. Win NT told me it was
 because of dos-memory-shortage, MSDOS simply crashed :-)
According to the dxe-author, reading the dxe files runtime could also
get you a pointer you can free.
