Date: Tue, 18 Jun 96 10:56:18 +0100 From: To: "djgpp" Mime-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII" Hello, We are a medium sise (50 people) hardware/software manufacturer of post-production video-equipment. We manufacture a PC based code reader for the cinema industry. We are very familliar with Borland and MS C++ compilers, and want to move into 32 bit protected mode. We decided to go DJGPP because we need a DOS real-time compiler. Problem: At this time I am translating our 16Bit softwares into 32Bit with DJGPP. How can I solve the everyday (10 times a day) problems I encounter. For example: trying to run the debugger for the first time, I got the message: << program received signal SIGFPE, arithmetic exception 0x3c33e in _strhold() >> problem #2: one of my interruption handler has to handle IT from six separate sources, and needs reentrance capabilities. (most of the handler code is under_enable() ). It seems that, using go32_dpmi_set_protected_mode_interrupt_vector, reetrance is not allowed... Is there a solution? How can I get an answer to these problems in less than two minutes ? Reading the FAQs will eventually give me a solution but it will take me hours to dig into the FAQ pile. Is there somewhere an indexed documentation or a structured FAQ compilation?
