Not fast enough??  What kind of CPU do you have, anyway?  It's lightning 
fast for me, even on a 486/33.

Get a decent editor with built-in info support.  E.g., Emacs has an Info 
mode which supports a mouse (on MSDOS too).

They didn't say that man pages' *idea* is obsolete, they just made the 
*pages* themselves obsolete by stopping to update them.  So the man pages 
you get with FSF packages aren't telling you all you need about the 
latest releases.

In case you didn't know: Info (including the DJGPP port) can read man 
pages.
