Your best bet would be to go for the real thing. Emacs 19.31 will
support long file names, both the dos (djgpp v2) and the windows
version (I think this one requires MS C compiler). It should be out
RSN. It's taking so long because of the massive improvements for both
the dos and the windows support. So it's worth waiting for...
