I will mention this in the next release of >the FAQ. Another minor difference is that in DOS, *. gets files without extensions, while the same in posix globbing doesn't get anything. I guess it's trying to find filenames that end in periods. ----- Speaking of wildcards... I have completed my version of Unix 'whence'. It isn't a direct port but rather my own program built from scratch. As far as I can tell, however, it works just fine. Since it isn't something specific to DJGPP, I probably shouldn't u/l it here, but as I mentioned before I am limited in how I can do uploads from my Genie account to the Net. Would anybody be willing to receive a uuencoded email and upload it to an ftp site or something similar? Maybe I'll end up trying AOl after all... Thanks John
