It has been the general opinion since very early in Usenet's history that binaries belong only in groups named "*binar{y,ies}*". As a side effect it reduces the risk of accidentally spreading vira by forcing people to use ftp servers which often run scanners. Similar automated services keep the "Make Money Fast" and phone sex noise down (and other posts repeated a zillion times). Before you ask "Who gives him the right?": that discussion belongs in news.admin.net-abuse.misc, but the short answer is "nobody, but you don't have to accept his cancels at your site." OK, let's just assume that the cancelled post was an honest mistake and get on with our work. Morten
