I have seen a lot of energy being put into OSs and environments that are explicitly non-Microsoft: the BeBox, DJGPP, Linux. There was a recent announcement on the Linux board about doing high-performance computing with Linux. Point? I think there are a lot of people who want more control over their computing environment. Did you see that Quake by ID software uses DJGPP/CWSDMPI? Thanks. I hope that this trend continues along it's logical path. Marc Singer elf AT netcom DOT com
