  Off topic, but I feel that this warning is necessary.

  When you use an emailer that uses Microsoft Word, it is too easy to send a
very long line which is folded on your screen but truncated (and so illegible)
on the receiving user's screen.
  It is best not to use Microsoft Word to read email, as there are now several
computer viruses that run in Microsoft Word alias Word for Windows's macro
language, and can genuinely be transmitted by using it to read an email
message that was created by Microsoft Word. This is truth, not a hoax like the
recent `Good Times' scare.
  VIRUS-L is a moderated digested email group about computer viruses do and
how to detect them and rid of them; comp.virus is a gatewayed and non-digested
USENET counterpart. Information on accessing anti-virus, documentation, and
back-issue archives is distributed periodically on the list. A FAQ (Frequently
Asked Questions) document and all back-issues are available at
ftp://cs.ucr.edu/pub/virus-l. The current FAQ document is in a file called
vlfaq200.txt. Administrative mail (e.g. comments and suggestions and asking
how to get onto Virus-L's circulation list) should be sent to
