The description provided (and the register dumps) lead me to believe you are getting exceptions inside exceptions, which means the exception area itself is corrupted. I would guess it's a stack sizing problem. Try to stubedit in a 4Mb stack (or more if you see a lot of big automatic arrays in the source). Humm, maybe it's time to break out the stack usage tools for general consumption (sigh).
