I am working in some sound routines that require a DMA buffer, and I would like to access directly that buffer. I was thinking in changing the limit of the data selector (%ds) to 0xffffffff in that way I'd be able to access the lower 1MB of memory directly. Is this possible? or I should not touch the selectors %cs/%ds/%gs? Thanks in Advance, Carlos Hasan chasan AT dcc DOT uchile DOT cl PS: please reply to my e-mail address, coz I have problems to read this news group... thanks...
