Subject: WARNING: gcc 2.7.* and C++ packed structures


Something to watch out for with gcc 2.7.1 and 2.7.2.

C++ programs under gcc 2.7.1 and 2.7.2 will NOT properly pack packed
structures!  This manifests in such structures as ffblk (returned by
findfirst()) where the structure is packed.  The C++ compiler
apparently does NOT pack these structures, but the C compiler DOES.

I've already notified the gcc developers.

This is just an FYI - if you notice bizarre bugs, check to see if you
have any packed structures kicking around.
