From: hacker1 AT rci DOT ripco DOT com (Isaac Kohn) Subject: RSX package, and DJGPP under windoz (blech!) To: djgpp AT sun DOT soe DOT clarkson DOT edu (mailing list) Date: Tue, 28 Nov 1995 16:46:41 -0600 (CST) Greetings to you all, my friends of culture: I currently use DJGPP 1.12m4 under DOS (I'm working on installing v2b3, but it's not much of a priority) and I've got a few questions: 1) How could/should I run compiles from Windows (Win3.1 in 386 mode with Win32s) aside from in a DOS box? 2) How could/should I run DJGPP-compiled programs from Windows aside from in a DOS box (note that I like to bind GO32 in with my program to create a stand-alone EXE, so I'd like a way to do this)? 3) What's the deal with RSX/RSXWDK?? I've heard lots about it, and I've downloaded a million (=4 or 5) different .ZIP files that claim to be related, but I can't figure out how to install/run. I'd like to start from scratch, i.e., from erasing my previous attempts to install RSX and downloading it again (which brings up the question of location via FTP/WWW). TIA for any answers to my questions, and happy coding, Isaac K.
