There are a few library functions which report these: _go32_dpmi_remaining_physical_memory _go32_dpmi_remaining_virtual_memory _go32_dpmi_get_free_memory_information The only caveat is that they all report as free the memory that has not yet been allocated for the malloc() pool of free memory; memory that has been allocated, then freed is not counted in the amount they report. See the DJGPP FAQ (faq102.zip from the same place you get DJGPP), section 15.2.
