Subject: 3 problems with vimdjgpp and djgpp

I have just spoken with Ron Guilmette (from the "service" file).  He felt
that neither he nor other c++ experts would know about vim and that I needed
to contact the author.  Do you know where Bram can be reached and how he is
disposed to inquires?  Do you know of anyone else including yourself who is
familiar with vim and could spend a hopefully short amount of time (paid or
unpaid) with me?

Here are my problems:

I cannot change the termcap variables which control color so that they don't
revert to their defaults when the machine is turned off and on again.

I get an error message "no DPMI" when I try to start vim with "vim".

I cannot start info even from its own directory, though I could previously.

I've spent many hours on this and have more problems than I started with.
 I'd appreciate any advice or leads you could give.
