If I read Word Perfect / Microsoft Word / Windows Write / TEX files as text, I see readable text, with some admixture of junk, but it is readable. But not so with Windows *.HLP files. I sometimes prefer to reformat and edit text info files to my own desires and print them on paper to read at leisure, instead of having to read them in penny instalments on the screen and in the process tie my computer up so I can't work on something while referring to the information. (This a bit relevant to C, because (information that I need to have a go at writing a Windows package for djgpp) seems to come only as Windows *.HLP files.) So PLEASE does anyone out there know (including where I can FTP it from) of a package that reformats Windows *.HLP files into some sort of legible ascii? Or at least information on the internal format of Windows *.HLP files so I can write such a decoder myself?
