Mueller) Subject: MSHELL Problem Cc: dj (DJ Delorie), eliz AT is DOT elta DOT co DOT il (Eli Zaretskii) As per the FAQ's recommendation, I bought a monochrome monitor and card and installed them in my Gateway 2000 486/33 so that I can debug my DJGPP v. 2.0 graphics program with GDB. However, when I run MSHELL say with "dir" e.g., "mshell dir", I don't get any output on either the monochrome or my normal monitor, except for the two lines on the monochrome. Naturally, using MSHELL with GDB doesn't work either. I perused the MSHELL code, but there are no comments and no documentation as to how it works so I can't easily track down the problem myself. Please help. All I can think of at this time is perhaps EMM386 is overwriting the portion of high memory that the monochrome uses. But, there was nothing in the MSHELL doc. that indicated this could be a problem. I was hoping to get quite a bit of work done using this setup this weekend. Thanks for your time. -- Ed.
