I'm a total novice at patching, I don't understand how it works at all, so I'm wondering how to go about applying this patch that g77 wants me to apply to my gcc-2.6.3 distribution that I have under DOS. It gives an example, but it's obviously for a UNIX environment. Specifically in the readme it says to apply the patch by typing something like: "patch -p1 -d gcc-2.6.3 < gcc-2.6.3/f/gbe/2.6.3.diff" Is there an equivalent incantation for the DOS/Windoze environment? What files is it working on? Or does it work on the executable? Thanks for any help, Skip Egley
