Now, I need to know how to get an `istream' object to read the scancodes. Apparently, an `ifstream' attached to `/dev/con' expects ASCII characters, echos each character I type and waits until I press the Enter key before it delivers any characters to my program. Is there a clever way to change this behavior? If not, I suppose I could manage my own scancode buffer apart from the keyboard buffer if someone could tell me how to get an `istream' to source my scancode buffer instead of the keycode buffer. Thanks in advance, Bob Tisdale.
