I'm a "beginner" in this Internet world, and I hope some of you Guru's out there can help me with a problem I have. When I bought my faxmodem, Norton's pcANYWHERE was in the packet with a Starter Edition Ver. 1.0. I installed this, but when I try to run the "BE-A-HOST-PC"-program, I get some serious problem. I'll try to explain: As I wanna be this Host-pc, I try to run the command, but I get the message; "Run pcAW Starte Edition Host Install". So I try. When I run the "pcAW Starter Edition Host Install", I first have to confirm that I wanna allow my PC to be a Host-PC. I answer OK, and get this message that several sys.-files are saved w.m. Then I want to continue, and get some message with 2 alternatives: "Exit to dos" or "Restart windows". I have tried both alternatives, and get a black screen! When i press "restart windows", windows restarts til the blue Windows 3.11-logo. Then it's all black When I press "Exit to dos", I end up blinking at C:\! Windows starts now, too, but when loading after the blue Windows 3.11, it's suddenly all black, as above. I called a support phone, and they said I had to change the screen-driver in Windows' Install. So I did, and got started again. Now, here is the essential question: What is going wrong when the Norton pcANYWHERE is configurating for "Be-a-host-PC"-mode???? Is there a way to avoid this problem??? Do I have to buy another version of the pcANYWHERE?? I guess my 1.0.-version is rather simple..... Any suggestions??
