As of 3.73, it knows that filenames may start with drive letters, and should be able to handle them properly. At least, I think I got it right... ;-) Although long awaited for, I have not yet had time to upgrade the djgpp distribution to include 3.73, but it should build from sources with stock djgpp, so there is no reason not to get it yourself from prep.ai.mit.edu and just build it.
