I should have mentioned that. pkunzip instructed me to use the 'fix' option, and I did, and they *seemed* to unpack OK, but it left me suspicious. So I decided to 'go with the flow' and went back and used the 'unzip' that was on the site to unpack. Seems to have worked, OK. Don't know what the problem could be. DaveN
