I would appreciate a pointer (or several) in The DJGPP port of GNU Make is in the file mak371bn.zip (the binaries) and mak371dc.zip (the docs). > Seperatly, I have been able to access the 'help' facility - however MOST of teh > topics listed in the top level menu are not available. Again, I have read the > installation guide & FAQ and (I believe) followed the instructions correctly - > but have achieved only limited sucess. You have probably read an outdated version of the FAQ. The latest version is in the file faqNNN.zip (available from the same place you got DJGPP), and it answers this question (it also would have answered your question about where is the Make program). The problem with Info is that some of the Info files as distributed with DJGPP are DOS-style text files (i.e., they have CR-LF pair which delimits each line), and the version of Info which is distributed with DJGPP doesn't like that. You can either run those files through DTOU (as the FAQ explains) or download a patched version of Info.exe from one of the following sites: ftp://omnigate.clarkson.edu, chdir /pub/msdos/djgpp/pub ftp://turnbull.sk.tsukuba.ac.jp, chdir /pub/djgpp/packages ftp://delorie.mv.com, chdir /pub/djgpp/contrib
