You may be getting a keyboard interrupt in real mode, which then tries to access your protected mode routine with a bad selector. Real mode keyboard interrupts happen a lot -- maybe half the time by my informal tests. Setting the selector isn't in the info files; I think this is a documentation bug, or an unimplemented feature in the dpmi library. Carl Burke
