Hi gang:
A couple of days ago A APPLEYARD treated us all to a badly written, 
redundant version of memcpy().
He was roundly and deservedly denounced for attempting to reinvent the 
wheel (with corners).
However, the resulting discussion was erudite and interesting, and delved 
into matters of cache lines, memory alignment, optimization, etc.

God, I love this mailing list!!  (Although all of this was more 
appropriate to a newsgroup than a mail list...)
