Subject: erf, and the *rand48 functions

The linker complains about these functions with an "unresolved externals"
message.  Am I linking in the right library with -lm, or are these
functions simply unimplemented?  I can't seem to find them in the lib*.a
files I've downloaded so far.

If they're unimplemented, can you tell me where I can get online sources
for them?  (My Abramowitz & Stegun is in storage, as is my Knuth, though I
suppose that Numerical Recipes in C would actually be the appropriate
place to look.)

I would appreciate an email response.  The WWW server in Japan seems to 
be down.
