From: Paul Koning 1695 To: djgpp mailing list Subject: RE: EMACS? Date: Mon, 13 Feb 95 16:48:00 PST Encoding: 32 TEXT I built Emacs 19.24 (next to latest, on the advice of DJ) from the ordinary GNU kit. It has a makefile for DOS in it that mostly works. The only hassle is that it invokes some Unix style file utilities (e.g., "rm" rather than "del"). I wrote a few 10-line toys that do the job well enough to satisfy the makefile, and then it built and runs fine. I also use micro-Emacs (under Windows) which isn't bad, but it isn't real Emacs and it has a lot of differences, some innocent, some not so innocent. Speaking of "rm" and such, is there a port of "fileutils" for djgpp? That would be the right answer. paul (pkoning AT chipcom DOT com) ---------- From: djgpp-bounces To: djgpp Subject: EMACS? From: Michael Feldman This must be a real FAQ. Where is the latest emacs for djgpp? Why is it not at oak.oakland.edu with all the other stuff? Thanks! Mike Feldman
