Dear DJGPP gang:
	The previously suspected bug with the DPMI support of go32
has been tracked down to my NOT having setup a virtual swap file 
for 386max 7.0 in DPMI mode.  One MUST use the swapfile=.... 
option to establish a virtual memory swap file.  This may be made
permanent with the /p option.  Sorry about the false alarm!!!
Using DPMI is not as effecient as VCPI apparently, gcc seems to
compile faster with the NODPMI option.
