From: "brian j tang" Organization: University of Wisconsin To: djgpp AT sun DOT soe DOT clarkson DOT edu Date: Tue, 24 Jan 1995 12:38:31 CST Subject: GCC263 and GPP263 Trouble Reply-To: brian DOT tang AT plantpath DOT wisc DOT edu I recently saw that newer versions of the Dgjpp C and C++ compilers were realeased. In my excitement I quickly downloaded: bnu252bn.zip gcc263bn.zip gpp263.zip lgp262bn.zip dj112m3.zip The first thing I did was apply bnu252bn.zip then gcc263bn.zip, then gpp263.zip, then lgp262bn.zip. After doing this I tried recompiling a program I had been writing in C++. Nothing happened, except my machine hung and wouldn't respond to CTRL-BREAK or CTRL-ALT-DELETE, and I had to reboot manually. So next I decided to apply all the maintenance files dj112m1.zip, then dj112m2.zip, then dj112m3.zip. Tried to recompile this time with the -v to see at what point it was hanging. My machine hung again but didn't print a single thing before it did. So next I decided to re-apply gcc263bn.zip, gpp263.zip, lgp262bn.zip. And then I applied the mainentance file dj112m3.zip. Still once again when I recompiled, nothing happened, and my machine hung again. 1) Has anyone else had these problems, and know what I have done wrong? 2) Should I run the install.exe program off of simtel? 3) Does anyone have xxx260bn.zip archives?
