Then why didn't they just bind their funky version in? There are only about 2 executables, and having an odd version of GO32 is merely going to increase confusion all around. Well, the main reason for a funky version is that stock GO32s never learned to handle control-break to Darryl Okahata's satisfaction. He kept sending patches, DJ kept putting them in (according to list traffic, anyway, I didn't check the source), and they still didn't come up to snuff. Darryl didn't want to bind in an old hacked version of GO32 for all the usual reasons you shouldn't bind in the GO32.
