Stephen Turnbull's points are well taken: MS Shell 2.3 may or may not be right for you. My own situation is different from his. I only have a 386sx system with a 40M hard drive and 1MB of RAM. I'm not trying to do any djgpp development (then why am I here? I still like to know what's happening), I don't do DESQview, or Windows (y'all probably already guessed that when I described my system). Unlike Stephen, I _do_ need DOS. I have too many existing applications and too little space to use Linux or the like. I wanted a DOS system with a Unixoid interface, and MS Shell works fine for me. Try it. If you don't like it, I promise not to cry. :-) -- Mark Meyer | mmeyer AT dseg DOT ti DOT com | Texas Instruments, Inc., Plano, TX +--------------------+ Every day, Jerry Junkins is grateful that I don't speak for TI.
