From: wrh AT placer1 DOT wimsey DOT com (William Hughes) Also, when I mix stdio with streams, all of the stream output seems to happen first, then the stdio, even when they are adjactent in the same loop. Is this normal? William Yes. streams maintains a separate set of buffers, since stdio's buffering isn't quite good enough. In a proper implementation, there is a way to get stream and stdio synchronized, but it could cause a big performance hit in output. -- +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Stephen Turnbull | | University of Tsukuba, Institute of Socio-Economic Planning | | Tennodai 1-chome 1--1, Tsukuba, Ibaraki 305 JAPAN | | Phone: +81 (298) 53-5091 Fax: +81 (298) 55-3849 | | Email: turnbull AT shako DOT sk DOT tsukuba DOT ac DOT jp | | | | Founder and CEO, Skinny Boy Associates | | Mechanism Design and Social Engineering | | REAL solutions to REAL problems of REAL people in REAL time!
