Subject: ld -e switch?

I'm trying to rebuild oemacs 4.1 with djgpp 1.12, and the ld switch -e seems
to get ignored.  In other words, no matter what argument I pass to -e, for
example "-e foo", ld reports that it can't find the symbol _start.  Has
anyone else had a problem with this switch in this release?
