How do you do this from a makefile?  Can you assume COMPILER_PATH is
always defined correctly?  The alternative seems to be to use "copy
> symprog < nul:" to create an empty file, ignore the error message,
and then coff2exe and stubedit from there.  That's majorly ugly...
