There are libraries for djgpp. I use DV/X 2.0 and use djgpp 1.11 + Quarterdeck's libraries to compile and run X programs. Works flawlessly. Contact info AT qdeck DOT com for commercial packages (includes books + Motif). Free package for djgpp can be downloaded from ftp.qdeck.com and contains only the standard X window package: Xlib + Athena + some more. No Motif or Openlook.
